Presentation of future language class in state kindergarten

Target group: journalists and public in Spišská Nová Ves

Project goal:

pointing to planned inception of first English kindergarten class in the region, popularization of ELC concept in VELL (Very Early Language Learning) project, featured among European Commission’s 30 top language projects in the EU.

Period:
•    February 13, 2009 – time of enlisting for kindergarten

Details:

The lesson took place in kindergarten on Nejedleho street under the leadership of experienced lecturers, with city and company representatives in attendance. Also invited were the journalists from regional and national media. Apart from a news release we also prepared a magazine article and website information.

Results:

The media event had a great success. All national televisions aired a footage; the public Slovak Television even on the very day in the prime time evening news. News television TA3 and private TV JOJ joined later during the upcoming weekend, the most-viewed channel Markiza next Monday at 5 pm. An output appeared in the local TV Reduta, newswire TASR, Korzár daily and the official website and printed bulletin of the city. The journalistic article was published by portal mamatata.sk
The action had a considerable financial effectiveness; advertising campaign of corresponding media air time would cost several times more.
